Carbon4Good trees are planted by local restoration & community groups on around 20 sites in New Zealand. Over 130,000 trees have been planted since the programme began in 2001.

Carbon 4 Good is a simple, affordable way for New Zealand business to combat climate change. What is Carbon 4 Good?
Delivered by the Sustainable Business Network, Carbon 4 Good is a flexible, comprehensive programme to help New Zealand businesses offset CO2 emissions that result from their business activities. We have identified tree planting as an easy, tangible offset option. Trees absorb carbon in the process of making wood and provide other co-benefits for the environment and people. We are also developing a number of unique carbon offset opportunities, so please watch this space.

Who can use it?
Any New Zealand business that wants to offset its carbon emissions. Choose to offset all business CO2 emissions, or a measurable portion of them: for example, your air travel or office energy consumption. Whether you are a large corporate or a small business, Carbon 4 Good can work with you to create an offset programme that works for you.
To achieve fast and sustainable CO2 reductions, your strategy may involve internal changes as well as carbon offsetting.
Want provide an opportunity for your customers to offset their emissions when they give you their business? Carbon 4 Good can help set this up too. An example might be a rental car company provding customers the chance to offset emissions related to their vehicle hire.
How does it work?
