Title: GreenFleet Tree Planting Grows Rapidly
GreenFleet's tree planting programme has experienced rapid growth through 2009. With involvement of partners such as Thrifty Car Rentals and LeasePlan as well as GreenFleet members, planting numbers have topped 35,000 for the 2009 planting season.
In addition, the programme has included planting on new sites with new planting organisations in Queenstown (Queenstown Sustainable Business Programme) , Hobsonville (Hobsonville Land Company), Te Kauwhata (Waikato River Care), Churchill School and on the North Shore (Kaipatiki Project). A feature of planting has been the continued partnership with Trees for Survival with over 17,000 trees planted.
